In early 2015, Architech partnered with Compass Group Canada to deploy an IoT solution that harnesses user data collected in real-time to enhance the customer airport experience.
There are few places more chaotic than the airport.
Endless security lines, missed connections, lost luggage, and a serious deficit of decent coffee stops along the way all contribute to a less-than-peaceful travel experience. But, what if our airport frustrations could be used for a good cause? What if our user data could be translated into actionable insights to help improve our experience moving through the airport? Could these key changes improve the travel experience, overall? You guessed it… the answer is “yes”!
In early 2015, Architech partnered with Compass Group Canada -- Canada’s leading provider of foodservice and support services – to deploy an IoT solution that harnesses user data collected in real-time to enhance the customer airport experience.
It’s a well known fact that the airline industry market is hugely competitive. In this space, just one bad experience can drive a customer into the arms of a competitor. With this in mind, Architech developed Location Analyzer, a data driven tool powered by Microsoft Azure that tracks usage, dwell time, wait times, and other user metrics in real-time to improve the overall user experience from the moment customers set foot in the Pearson Airport Transborder Lounge.
Architech is a leader in IoT implementation -- working with diverse clients to build IoT solutions that solve business challenges and help get products to market 87% faster.
After the deployment of Location Analyzer in the Transborder Lounge, the key insights gathered allowed decision makers at Compass Group Canada to make shifts to food and beverage distribution, lounge layout, furniture placement, and more that helped better meet their customers’ needs. Talk about using data as a force for good! Who’s up for reforming the TTC, London Tube, and the New York MTA next?
